A beach day in Burry Port, Carmarthenshire nearly turned tragic after a family unknowingly played on a WWII-era bomb.
Kelly Gravell’s children, aged six and four, were photographed jumping on the seaweed-covered device, mistaking it for a buoy.
Days later, rangers identified it as an unexploded mine. A bomb squad safely detonated it.
Their father, Gareth, shared the shocking discovery online, joking, “Oops,” alongside photos of the near miss.
